Succulent Wedding Cake!
This cake was for a client at my job at Cafe Diablo. Fondant cake complete with edible succulents. What could be more fun than baking for a living right? We have so much fun at the pastry kitchen at Diablo. Check out our website at www.cafediablo.com
Rustic Cake
This cake was for darling Josie, she had a western themed wedding and wanted a rustic cake. I love what she came up with. The flowers were so beautiful on the finished cake. Congrats to Josie and Bronson!

Chocolate Ribbon and Curls
Susan's reception was so elegant, kudos to her awesome mom Jane for making it so!
The cake was a surprise for Susan and so I got alot of creative license with it. I simply love the chocolate curls and so I went ahead and did a white chocolate ribbon to bring it all together.
The fresh daisies were such a beautiful touch.
The darling Bride and Groom cut the cake.

White chocolate ruffles for Jenna
It has been a while since I posted any pics, but life has certainly been busy. Got a missionary son home and have been spending lots of time with him. But still had two cakes in the month of December. This first one was for Jenna. For lack of a better title I am calling it white chocolate ruffles. The bride was happy with the result and that always makes me happy!

White Chocolate Curls
This is one of my all time favorite designs. I love the white chocolate curls and how they look on a cake. This cake was for Merissa and her beautiful dress is represented by the white chocolate pearls on the back of each tier to secure the ribbon in place. The roses are such a beautiful color, not one that you see often but truly beautiful to say the least.

The best frosting for little effort!
Start with a two tier cake of your choice (or more) ,then mix these two ingredients together for the best tasting frosting ever! I prefer to use this on a cake more than any other. Of ourse most people like a fondant cake for just the looks of it. But this is the best tasting!
Using a pastry bag and a large tip make large dollops of frosting starting at the bottom.
Then with the back of a regular spoon , smooth these out and make your next row.
Here is what you end up with, a fun cake that someone will really want to eat!! I refrigerate it because the frosting will slide off at room temp if it is out for hours.

16th Birthday Cake
This cake was for Brenna's 16th birthday. Such a DARLING Girl!
Love ya kiddo!
She found the pic on pinterest and so her mom decided to surprise her with the cake of her dreams and this is how it turned out.
I have a bit of a disadvantage in the cake world as I do not have an airbrush, but I have found the next best thing. Check it out here! http://www.duff.com/products/uniquely-duff/duff™-metallic-gold-cake-graffiti
Duff is my inspiration on so many cakes!!

1st Anniversary Cake
This cake was a surprise cake for Kallie requested by her cute husband Jayden to celebrate their first anniversary. He wanted a replica of their wedding cake as you can see in the top photo. This is all cake and frosted in buttercream. The big layer I did a cheetah design, I hope it turned out. I found the directions on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUZf7gBlEG4
Happy Anniversary Jayden and Kallie!!
